• Razor blades are sharp. When fitting or changing a blade, be sure to only hold the sides of the blade rather than the sharp edge (the long edge).
• Store your Razor safely out of the shower between uses, and take care not to drop your Razor.
• Travelling? Remember to pack your Safety Razor with its Razor Bag in checked baggage, rather than take it on carry on (or remove the blades).
• The Razor Stand is designed for the current CaliWoods Safety Razors (the one in this kit). It will not fit the older CaliWoods Razors.

Shaving is luxurious with our Safety Razor. They're ultra-sustainable, as you only need to change the blades, and they will last well when cared for properly. They are unisex and can be used on all parts of your body.

• Contains one Safety Razor, five Safety Razor Blades, and one Blade Return Envelope — plus the Refill Pack of 20 stainless steel razor blades.
• Made from Stainless Steel Type 304 20% and Zinc Alloy 80%. All our Safety Razors are nickel free.
• The blade is held tightly between the two top plates, and you can shave with both sides of the Razor.
• The Copper and Slate Grey colour is electroplated into the Stainless and Zinc Alloy. It isn't a layer and cannot 'come off'.
• Razor Stand: keeping your long-handled Razor in the Razor Stand will allow your blade to dry completely between uses.

How to use:

1. Unscrew the head of the razor from the handle.
2. Place the blade between the two top plates, holding by the blunt edges.
3. Screw the handle back on and shave away!
4. Replace the blade when it goes blunt. On average this is every fifth shave, less for thick hair, and more for fine hair.
5. Rinse the Razor thoroughly after each use. Clean away soap and hair, then let your Safety Razor dry out of the shower.

The Shaving Soap Bar is the perfect way to shave with a Safety Razor. It provides a foamy, soapy surface — without drying out your skin or the need for shaving cans. The bar is naturally formulated and hand-crafted in NZ.

How to use: Lather soap and apply directly to skin for an easy, smooth shave. Keep your shaving soap block out of the shower and lather with the shower off. This is for longevity so that your bar lasts longer.

CaliWoods Bamboo Hairbrush helps reduce static by negatively charging your hair as you brush. It is a plastic-free, luxe addition to your bathroom routine. Crafted using natural materials, bamboo is used for the bristles and the handle, while natural rubber is used for the cushioning.

Details: 22.5cm × 7cm × 3cm, 65g. Made with 100% bamboo + natural rubber.

Care: Clean your bamboo hair brush regularly to avoid build up. Pull the hair out with your fingers and use tweezers if required. If your brush needs more, hold the brush by the handle, place the cushioned part in a sink of warm water and shake gently a few times — do not fully immerse the brush in the water. Place face down on a towel until fully dry.

How to use: Apply your make-up remover on to the reusable rounds, and use the rounds like your conventional pads. Put the used rounds into the cotton wash bag so they will not get lost for your next round of laundry.

Care: Soak before machine washing (if required). You can wash on a normal cycle in cold to warm water and low tumble dry or line dry. At the end of their life, please cut the fabric into small pieces and compost.

Once you start using a Tongue Cleaner daily, you won't look back. It sounds weird, but it feels good — and is seriously addictive. Use your Tongue Cleaner in the morning before eating or drinking.

How to use: Stick out your tongue as far as you can and hold the tongue cleaner with either one or two hands. Place your tongue scraper toward the back of your tongue, press and move it toward the front of your tongue while applying pressure. Run the tongue scraper under warm water and repeat several more times until your tongue is clean. As needed, adjust your placement and the pressure you apply to prevent a gag reflex.

Details & care: Food-grade Stainless Steel type 304. Use warm water and soap, dry, and store in a clean, dry area. Sterilise regularly with boiling water, at least matching the frequency with which you change your toothbrush.

If you are taking your Safety Razor out of the house, this is the bag you need. Made specifically for Safety Razors from minimally processed linen, it protects your Safety Razor as well as any rummaging hands in a toiletry bag.

Details: Rectangular with drawstring top. Entire length 16cm, inner length (excluding drawstring) 14.5cm, width 8cm. 100% unbleached and minimally processed Linen.

Care: Cold wash with similar colours. Iron inside out only.

Our Blade Take-Back system is simple, and reduces a ton of waste over time!

1. Use — use, love and shave sustainably until the blades are no longer sharp enough for the job.
2. Dry — clean the blade and dry thoroughly.
3. Post — once you have 40 or more, seal the supplied envelope and wrap it into another (so the postie's hands are safe), then post your blades back to CaliWoods.
4. Repurpose — this bit is our job. Most councils and recycling centres don't accept single blades because of their small size and sharp edges.
